The District Church Council
What is the DCC?
The District Church Council (DCC) is the elected body of members that is responsible for providing oversight and governance for the life and mission of this church. Some DCC members also hold additional roles such as "safeguarding officer" or "DCC secretary". We are deeply grateful to those who serve on the DCC.
When are people elected for DCC?
Once a year around April at the "Annual District Church Meeting" (ADCM) members are elected or re elected.
What is a church warden?
The church wardens hold a wide range of responsibilities and work with the vicar and the senior leadership team in all aspects of church life. (https://www.blackburn.anglican.org/churchwardens-duties)
